Mid-meeting field trip (18 September 2024)
The excursion will include a visit to the protected oasis of Fiumefreddo, where it will be possible to sample in fresh and brackish waters. Afterwards, we will visit Calatabiano, where the Pleistocene bathyal clays outcrop can be sampled [see Sciuto, F., 2015. in Carnets de géologie doi: 10.4267/2042/57945].

The cost is approximately 350 euros per person. More information will be given in the second circular.
It is possible to join the field trip only for the guided tour to Mount Etna.
Abstracts
Abstracts of oral communications and posters will be published on Il Naturalista Siciliano.
The electronic abstract submission will open on February 22, 2024, and will close on May 31, 2024 (23:59 CET).

Before submitting your abstract, please read the following instructions carefully:
- Each presenting author can submit up to 1 abstract per type (1 oral communication and 1 poster max) and will have to communicate the presentation types (oral communication or poster).
- Submission of the same abstract for more than one day is not allowed. Duplicates identified by the programme committee will be rejected.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to propose a change of the communication type (oral or poster) and session originally proposed by the authors. - All abstracts must be submitted online through the official EOM abstract submission system
that will open on February 22. Abstracts sent by email will not be considered. - All abstracts must be submitted in English. Submitters, in particular non-native English
authors, are strongly recommended to have their abstracts checked by a native speaker or make
use of a language editing service. - The presenting author of an accepted abstract is expected to register for and attend EOM10.
It is the responsibility of the submitter to make sure that all authors listed in the author block
of an abstract agree with the publication of the abstract. - All received abstracts will undergo a peer reviewing process.
- Notifications of acceptance will be sent by email in June 2024.
